The north
Window cleaning & pressure washing in Alcúdia and Port d'Alcúdia
Alcúdia has a walled medieval town, a marina at Port d'Alcúdia and a long line of hotels and apartments on Platja d'Alcúdia, the 14 km beach that runs south towards Can Picafort. Bonaire and Mal Pas sit on the quieter headland to the north.
What it costs here
- A flat with 7 windows€104
- A house with 16 windows€218
- A villa with 24 windows€338
Most of the homes people ask about here are holiday apartments in low and mid-rise blocks behind the beach. They are small and quick to clean, so a flat's count of windows is a likelier starting point here than a villa's. With the beach so close, sand gets everywhere: into sliding-door tracks, onto sills and into sofas, where it works down between the cushions and wears at the fabric.
Good to know
Inside the walls, built between 1298 and 1362, the houses are older, the streets are narrow and many of them are for walking only. If your door is inside the old town, say so, because the crew may have to carry everything in from outside the walls.
Mal Pas and Bonaire are different again, with detached houses on sloping lots, more gardens and sea on two sides. Their terraces face the weather, and a winter leaves a green or grey film on the paving that is worth dealing with before the season.
In summer, Tuesday and Sunday are market days in the old town, so parking is easier on any other morning. Check-out day in a holiday let is the obvious moment for a clean, so tell us the time your guests leave and the time the next ones arrive.
